Classroom Based Fieldwork

This contains five individual pieces of fieldwork in the form of case studies suitable for the Geographical Enquiry component of GCSE and covering a variety of collection and presentation skills. It helps teachers organize the activities and create a controlled environment for study. An important feature is the provision made for physically handicapped students to develop fieldwork skills and qualify for GCSE through the use of mainly secondary data. The book may either be used alone or in conjunction with the other books in the "Concepts in Geography" series to form a complete course. An important theme running through these titles is the relationships and interactions between people and their environments - and this books reflects the proportion of environmental to human geography prevalent in most GCSE syllabi.
