Harmonization of Bond Market Rules and Regulations in Selected APEC Economies

This study provides an outline of the development of bond markets in the East Asian economies of China, Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. Addressing the issues involved in harmonizing bond market rules and regulations, recommendations and suggestions are offered on the next steps toward building a regional bond market.
