This is an illustrated collection of over 40 traditional Christmas songs, with words and music for each carol. The book contains carols drawn from folk traditions of many lands which retell the Christmas story from Advent through to Twelfth Night. Deck the Hall and Silent Night are included and an introduction to each song explains its origins and meaning. Each carol is illustrated with decorative borders in the tradition of illustrated manuscripts.
