The pack comprises: A 32-page children's storybook which is the story of the Spanish Armada as witnessed by a cabin boy aboard one of the English fleet, as well as photographs of relevant artefacts, background information for children on events leading up to the battle, a time-line and a detailed glossary of words and terms. A 192-page structured teaching programme of historical background information step-by-step lesson plans, photocopiable activities, homework and assessment sheets plus valuable record, pupil and curriculum development sheets. The pack will be divided in specific lesson plan sections, including: the monarchy, court life, rural and urban life, explorers and the empire, politics and war, religion, transport and communication, science and technology, children of the time and the Spanish Armada. A collection of posters features artefacts and artists' impressions of life during this period.
