The Cambridge Guide to the Historic Places of Britain and Ireland

The aim of this new guide is to break away from conventional approaches to Britain's heritage to include not only castles, cathedrals, abbeys and stately homes, but also steam railways, botanic gardens, literary shrines, hill figures, ships, shops, battlefields and public houses.
