Imaging: Evacuees

This volume is the first of four books of source material for use in English and Humanities lessons using drama methods, and introducing ideas for sessions around a particular historical theme. The text contains actual accounts and diary extracts to give authentic detail. This book presents four different perspectives on the massive movement of people that took place in World War II. Behind these four stories lie issues concerning stereotyping, loyalties, propaganda and the importance of personal and local history as a means of understanding the world we live in now.
