Harnessing 3D Studio

This text serves as an introduction to 3D Studio. Beginning with command structure and rendering terminology this book walks through the processes and applications of the software in detail. Through the 15 tutorial projects the student can learn to create and render 3D images, select materials and textures, keyframe animation as well as other application functions. This guide also addresses real life applications and resources for use of 3D Studio. Design, visualization, 3D Studio, its configuration and features are introduced in Part One. Part Two discusses the features and uses of the program. Part Three covers special effects and animation. Part Four focuses on real world applications of 3D Studio. Part Five integrates 3D Studio with other software and hardware (ex. AutoCAD, Animator, printing and video production). The appendix includes a glossary of animation and rendering terms, keyboard alternatives, user groups and print/video service bureaus. The accompanying CD ROM is filled with example animations, PAS routines, and data files for use with the 15 tutorials within the text.
