Visual Postproduction

Warren Heaton has a master's degree in Live Action Film and Video from the California Institute of the Arts. He is currently an instructor in the Visual Arts and Computer Graphics Department at the UCLA Extension school, as well as an associate faculty member at Santa Monica College: Academy of Entertainment and Technology and School of Graphic Design.'In addition to teaching, Warren does freelance motion design, graphic design and video editing in feature film, broadcast television, corporate video, independent film and interactive media.'Warren has received awards for his work in education (teacher of the year from UCLA Extension) and in film and video production (DV Magazine and Telly Awards). 'As a freelancer, he has also been a part of award winning design teams for satellite television (DIRECTV).'His clients include Adobe, DIRECTV, Microsoft, Neutrogena, and Technicolor.'From 2003 to the present, he has worked as a producer, video editor, motion graphics artist, and graphic design artist at independent film production company SPAN Productions in Venice, CA. His current independent documentary project is titled The Hooping Life (www.thehoopinglife.com).'
