This book is concerned with those children whose specific speech and/or language impairments are not due to low intelligence or serious deafness. An analysis is made of their difficulties in understanding and in expressing themselves, and their progress while attending a special school is recorded. The cases of 156 children, from pre-school entry to young adulthood, are examined.
