Dance Ideas for Teachers, Students and Children

A dance idea can be anything from a gesture, a rhythm, a colour, a piece of music - anything which acts as a stimulus or starting point. All the ideas featured in this book have been used with both boys and girls aged 11 years or older from varied ethnic, cultural and class backgrounds. The ideas are open-ended for the teacher/students to develop in their own way and are backed up by a range of photographs and line drawings of dancers in action to illustrate the quality that can be achieved.
