This book is based on the biographies of 14 people who lived through the Great Depression and is divided under the headings - Victims, Witness and Protest, Saviours, and Depression culture. The book is applicable to GCSE Modern World History project work and as a basis for class discussion. Nathaniel Harris also wrote "Working Lives: The Coal Mines".
