Rapid Excavation and Tunneling Conference 2001

Tunneling remains a demanding business that requires skilled labor; capable management, and constant adaptation to new technologies. The RETC is held to share and promulgate advances in underground construction as well as to offer innovative solutions to the challenges inherent in this work. This 2001 RETC recognizes the increasingly global character of the work from the perspective of construction companies, tunneling equipment, tunneling technologies, and the changing workforce. The 1,000 page text is written by more than 80 international experts.
