The reorganization and restructuring resulting from change of ownership of the electricity supply industry has raised a number of important issues concerning the potential application of Community law. In particular, the various contractual agreements which are closely inter-related with one another and with the legislation, licences and codes, have given rise to a number of rather novel questions concerning the application of Community competition principles to a complex sector. "EC Electricity Law" provides all the relevant EC directives, decisions and recommendations. Each chapter makes full use and reference to EC material drawing on the EC relevance to the electricity supply industry in Europe. It also gives a detailed discussion of particular Commission decision on the German industry and reference to conventional thermal electricity and the EC, nuclear generaton and nuclear waste disposal.
