This thriller is set on the island of Cyprus, where the Turks have overthrown the Greeks and established a province in the north. Colonel Mehmet Eldom, charged to keep peace there, partly to protect the tourist industry, is threatened by Greek terrorism and PLO raids on the pyrite mines.
