Cork Gully on Insolvency Judgements, 1980-90

This book brings together Cork Gully's reviews of legal decisions during 1980-1990 on insolvency or those which have a bearing on insolvencies. Whilst prepared primarily for the benefit of British practitioners, it includes many reviews of decisions in other jurisdictions. The reviews cover a number of other matters which are relevant to insolvencies, such as company and contract law, the conduct of meetings, Mareva injunctions, property law and trusts. For each case reviewed, the book contains: the title of the case; the title of the court and the name of the judge; the reference to the major law report in which the full text may be found (or the date judgement was given in unreported cases); a summary of the facts, the decision and the court's reasoning; and where appropriate, Cork Gully's own comments. This book is a source of information on the vast array of legal decisions made during the past decade. It aims to ensure that those with an interest in insolvency are as fully informed as possible on relevant developments in judicial thinking over the past decade.
