Bread and Freedom

Basic needs - food, shelter, water, health, education, a living income, security - are the minimum to which a person is entitled. This book describes an approach to development which could provide these basic needs for all. The author argues that political freedoms and basic needs are inseparable. Poor people cannot organize their freedom properly and those denied freedom cannot organize to fight poverty. This book argues that all is needs is political will to further advance progress being made in the Third World.
