Discover Physical Geography

The companion to "Discover Human Geography", this adopts a pupil-centred approach with a series of enquiries and fieldwork projects guiding pupils through the topics and skills required for GCSE. The basics of physical geography are laid before the text moves on to complex environmental issues, echoing the emphasis on people-environment relationships of the companion volume. Both books are designed to be used as the basic texts for a GCSE course and to allow for a variety of teaching styles. They enable the teacher to deal with pupils on an individual basis - which is becoming increasingly important with the demands of project work and Records of Achievement.
