This volume marks the occasion of the formal retirement of Professor Michael Rutter from the Institute of Psychiatry in London, by producing the contents of two Festschrift meetings in the UK - one by the Association of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, the other by the Child and Adolescent Faculty of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. In these meetings key research leaders provided tributes and reviews of their field. The volume also includes two keynote presentations from Professor Rutter delivered during these meetings. One of these presentations covered his ground-breaking work in the field of autism, while the other covered his progess in the field of psychological influences on child mental health. This volume should be of interest to child and adolescent psychiatrists, academic psychologists, developmental psychologists, social workers and workers in specialist education, and those involved in child and adolescent mental health.
