Marsha Giesler is highly respected in the fire and life safety educator market and was awarded the 2012 NFPA Safety Educator of the year. For the past 20 years, she has instructed the public education module, which she authored, for the state of Illinois' Fire Prevention I class, teaching both fire fighters and civilians. Giesler has worked with the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association to write and instruct the curriculum for the Fire and Life safety Educator and Community Risk Reduction section of the Fire Officer I and Chief Fire Officer programs. She has also served as a fire inspector for the City of Downers Grove and other positions throughout her career.
