Premier Map of Plymouth

On the front cover the list of towns and areas has been changed to reflect the altered area of coverage. Also a coloured circular symbol has been added with the words: Plymouth Large Scale City Centre The mapping has been completely redrawn at the reduced scale of 3.33 inches to 1 mile and the area of coverage has also changed. There is an extra 0.75 kilometre of mapping to the east, 0.5 kilometre to the south and 0.5 kilometre to part of the northern edge, however the coverage west of the Tamar Bridge, including most of Saltash, is not now included. A newly drawn large scale (6.66 inches to 1 mile) city centre inset map has been added to the top right of the map and the reference panel has been moved to the top left. The reference panel shows a new colour scheme that depicts important buildings with different colour infills e.g. educational establishments have an orange infill and hospitals and hospices have a green infill. Roads that have restricted access are shown with a purple infill and pedestrianized roads have a pink infill. Fire Stations and Post Offices are now shown by red squares and stars respectively,
