Goddesses, Penguins & Other Ceramic Creations, from 2010-2020

Meet the creatures which have crossed my path over the past 10 years - penguins, bears, giraffes, centaurs.
Trying to capture them in clay, wire and glass beads brings cheer to every week.
Working in clay, porcelain and tiles, fired at high or low temperatures, different color and effects come out of the kiln, translating feelings and emotions into earthly textures. For when we are feeling happy, sad, upset or euphoric, there is a figure somewhere in here.
To feel the weight and surface of these pieces is a great joy, whether it be smooth, scratchy or grainy.
