Wayne Gardner has always aimed for the top. His first bike was bought for $5 from a rubbish tip, which started his passion for motorbikes and racing. He attained his life-long ambition in 1987, when he became World Champion. This is the story of his climb to the top of his profession. His career is followed from his early years in racing, from mini-bikes to junior competition, and his start in road-racing that led to success. Gardner discusses his youth, and the people responsible for guiding him to the top. He is now a leader of a factory team with everything that Japanese technology can provide. He has now settled in Monaco.
