"Tom Gamboa has been one of the most influential baseball teachers in my life. I was lucky to have him as my manager in the Tigers' minor league system. He dedicated his life to our sport, and some of my best memories as a young player were listening to his amazing stories. He is a man who makes a lasting impression on every person he meets.
