On the Move

Future needs futures! The future isn't predetermined. Quite the opposite, actually: what tomorrow's world is going to look like depends on how we shape it today. For this reason, we at Futurium cast our gaze at a wide range of possible futures. We invite you to join us in exploring these possibilities, discussing them and trying them out.

Futurium's new thematic focus "Mobility" deals with the motions and movements of tomorrow. Not only are we humans on the move, but so are objects, animals, plants, knowledge and ideas. Mobility brings us together and can, at the same time, push us apart - especially when movement isn't possible for everyone. We've dedicated ourselves to the full range of mobility's possible futures, looking for answers to questions like: what could the transport systems of tomorrow look like? How could humans and nature be on the move around the globe? And most importantly: how can we make mobility fairer and more sustainable?
