Suffering from the Church

This text studies the contrast between the Church as envisioned by the Second Vatican Council and the contemporary Church, and all the suffering that this contrast causes. It urges Catholics to face the fact that the vision of Vatican II is slipping away and to work to improve the situation. Originally published in Germany in 1989 as an article entitled "Suffering From the Church", the demand for the article resulted in a quick reprint. Father Fries subsequently expanded the article into a small book of the same name.
