Thermochemistry and Equilibria of Organic Compounds

This work makes available to the English-reading community three books that complement each other, which embrace calorimetry, thermodynamics and thermochemistry, but which, until now, had their contents known only to scientists who read and understand the Russian language. Calorimetry, thermodynamics and thermochemistry are important subdisciplines of physical chemistry. This translated and newly edited ("westernized") book brings forth perspectives and new insights to well-established fields. The work deals with the thermochemistry of organic compounds (for example calorimetry of combustion, calorimetry of vaporization, measurements of vapour pressures, studies of chemical equilibria and also methods of calculations of energetic, entropic and other thermodynamics characteristics by means of statistical methanics). The book is addressed to a wide community of researchers, specialists and engineers, working in the fields of physical and organic chemistry, chemical engineering, petrochemistry, chemistry of polymers, conformational analysis of biological objects, and related areas.
