The Reintegration of American History

This collection of essays deals with slavery in the USA, and how the South in particular responded to the problem. It discusses such subjects as the Constitution and slavery, slave rebellion (the Denmark Vesey Uprising), attempts to banish all blacks to Africa, attempts to expand slavery in the United States and overseas, and the division in the southern states as to whether or not to secede from the Union.
