A heartwarming story about the power of thinking differently from the creators of award-winning The Littlest Yak.
Nora is not like the other beavers. She thinks new thoughts. She asks lots of questions. She invents inventions and gives things a try. She's different and - as her grandad tells her - that's okay!
So, when the rain pours and the river rises at the beaver lodge, it's Nora's know-how that could save the day - if only she could get all the other beavers to believe her!
This dramatic and satisfying story is full of warmth and heart as Nora comes to see that her thinkings are different ... but good!
Perfect for encouraging positive conversations about thinking differently and for building empathy and understanding.
A gorgeous rhyming text that's a delight to read aloud.
Adorable illustrations, packed with fun details to spot and pore over.

Lu Fraser is a hugely exciting voice in children's picture books. She is based in Hampshire, where she lives with her husband and daughter, and writes in a shed in the garden. The Littlest Yak, illustrated by Kate Hindley, was her first book for children and went on to secure multiple foreign editions and to win the Oscar's Book Prize and the Sainsbury's Children's Book Award. It was followed by two further adventures for Gertie: The Littlest Yak: The New Arrival and The Littlest Yak: Home is Where the Herd Is. Lu is also the author of One Camel Called Doug, Mavis the Bravest and Basil Dreams Big, all illustrated by Sarah Warburton. Kate Hindley is the much-loved illustrator of both picture books (including the award-winning You Must Bring a Hat, written by Simon Philip) and fiction (The Royal Rabbits of London, written by Santa Montefiore & Simon Sebag Montefiore), as well as the author-illustrator of new board book series, Treacle Street. She lives in Bristol.
