Air Pollutants

Epidemiological studies have consistently found an association between small increases in urban particulates and health effects, including increased morbidity and mortality in people with respiratory and cardiac disease. The very young and the elderly are especially susceptible. This issue will address vascular, cardiac and respiratory effects, as well as aerosol dosimetry, exposure assessment and the role of reactive oxygen species.
