'Grammar' is nothing more than the order the words in a sentence must be in, to correctly express the intended meaning. All the languages of the world have their own grammar, which exists at a subconcious level, and must be taught in a more mechanical way. It is therefore important that the most direct and effective means of explantion is used to pass on the vital knowledge of the structre, so that a good basic sentence-forming ability is developed. It covers all that is required, without delving into grammar for grammar's sake. For simplicity, it is set out in two parts; there is an overview of the grammar, and the terms used to explain it, follwed by a series of 'test yourself' questions and answers, which, once mastered will have provided the student with a thorough grounding in Maori grammar.
