Stumbling on his brother's body, Phillip Hayward needs to find the killer fast, especially as his footprint is at the crime scene. Chas and Musar help Phil but Diana Deverill, a glamorous reporter, and Chief Inspector Lord, the investigating officer, are both determined to find him. He has to stay free but has he enough friends to help him remain at large?
