Steve Fielding has contributed to a number of crime publications and has published 9 books. His first major work was The Hangman's Record, a trilogy detailing the history of capital punishment in the UK between 1868 - 1964. After taking time out from writing to study for a degree in creative writing Steve went on to train as a teacher. In 2004 he featured in the Discovery Channel series The Executioners as a script consultant. Steve currently divides his time between writing and teaching literacy and numeracy to adults.
