Seeking solitude after personal crisis, Anita Fennelly spent a summer alone on the Great Blasket Island. Anita Fennelly is a graduate of the former Thomond College of Education, now the University of Limerick. She worked for a number of years in Portugal and England. On her return she moved to south Kilkenny and now teaches English and Drama in New Ross, County Wexford.
