Rogers, Sr. left his abusive boyhood home and set out to make his way in the rough hills of southeastern Tennessee. He grew into a business titan, the powerful mayor of South Pittsburg, and the patriarch of a great family. This is the story of the tragedy he survived, the greatness he achieved, and his lasting legacy of the United States Stove Company. In the summer of 2020, the descendants of S.L. Rogers, Sr. gathered to tell his story and the stories of the generations that have followed. S.L. Rogers, Sr. is a man his family will never forget.
