Fermion Mass Matrices and Flavor Mixings

The work comprises of investigating the problems of high energy physics which involves understanding of fermion masses and mixing. In this work 'bottom-up' approach has been adopted to deal with texture specific mass matrices.Some of the important results of the work include ruling out the possibility of Dirac neutrinos for the case of texture 6 zero mass matrices and finding the implications of the mixing angle theta 13 for Fritzsch like lepton mass matrices
