This collection of papers dealing with extraction from dilute systems was presented at a meeting organized by the Dounreay Nuclear Power Development Establishment and the Scottish Branch of the Institution of Chemical Engineers. Some of the topics addressed are the process chemistry of extraction and the design and operation of extraction equipment in the nuclear, biochemical, hydrometallurgical and pharmaceutical fields.
