Survey on State Aid in the European Union in the Manufacturing and Certain Other Sectors: 4th

The survey provides a systematic quantification of state aid in the EU for the purpose of competition policy. It updates the series with the data for 1991 and 1992. Significant events of those years include the approaching establishment of a single market, liable to tempt governments to resort to state aid; the incorporation of a new German Lander, requiring an increase in and redirection of aid granted in Germany; and the conclusion of the first Europe Agreements with the countries of central and eastern Europe.
