Teaching Osteopathic Research

Teaching research to osteopathic students is often challenging: many are mainly interested in becoming good practitioners and would probably be happier to learn osteopathy as a craft as happened 30 years ago. An OSEAN conference in Paris in 2012 addressed this field with presentations and workshops covering all the relevant topics such as motivation, critical thinking, writing a thesis, and publishing students' research. Summarizing the conference this book provides a multitude of concepts and methods for teaching and motivating students to do research - both during their training and in their professional life after graduation.
