Civil Engineering Contracts

A variety of forms of contract are now available to civil engineers and employers are discriminating more in their coice of contract. The ICE 5th edition remains in use and is likely to so so notwithstanding the issue of a 6th edition. The New Engineering Contract is an alternative to both, and ICE Minor Works and the new Design Build forms each have their specialist roles. This book reviews the way the various standard forms cover important contractual issues. Each issue is examined within the general legal context and practical detailed comment is given on relevant clauses.
