Periodontal RE-Evaluation

This book, similar in format to its companion publication, "Periodontics - The Scientific Way", utilizes a new approach for presentation of scientific material in a textbook format. This volume focuses on the basics of periodontal therapy - examination methods, effects of initial periodontal therapy and evaluation of results. It is designed to merge the scientific background for periodontal re-evaluation with the reality of clinical practice. Relevant research papers are abstracted, and the results presented in clear, graphical form. The research chosen is critically appraised and the relevance of the results to clinical practice discussed. Case presentations, with details of individual subjects and teeth, are included to further illustrate the scope and limitations of initial periodontal treatment and its evaluation. This book should prove useful for periodontists, dentists and hygienists who require an up-to-date review on research relating to periodontal re-evaluation.
