One Man's Long Goodbye

As a boy, he travelled throughout Poland working on a fairground. As a teenager, he fought against and escaped from the German occupying army. He became a highly decorated war hero, moved countries, took clandestine excursions behind the closed Iron Curtain, raised a family and became a legend to his grandchildren. Jozef Munko was an extraordinary man. This is his granddaughter's account of their final months together.
