A Directory of Library and Information Retrieval Software for Microcomputers

This new edition of "Directory of Library and Information Retrieval Software" has been thoroughly revised and updated. It provides a single source for a range of specialized software for libraries and information services, excluding the more generally available business packages. Around 500 packages are listed originating from 379 suppliers worldwide. Over 150 suppliers are US-based, with the UK a close second and approximately 50 suppliers based in Europe, Canada, Japan or Australia. The entries, which are in alphabetical order of software name are indexed by function, hardware and supplier. Included in each entry, where possible, is the supplier's name and address, the operating system and hardware, the price, a brief note about the system and references to articles and reviews.
