This is the autobiography of Group Captain Sir Hugh Dundas CBE, DSO, DFC, who was one of the most distinguished fighter pilots of World War II. He joined the Auxiliary Air Force straight from school and was just 19 when war was declared. He flew operationally for the next six years and was one of the few members of his squadron to survive the Battle of Britain. A squadron leader at 21, he was promoted to Wing Commander at 22. He ended the war as a Group Captain, at 24, the youngest ever in the RAF.
