Doug Dowell was born at his parent's home and the small town of Melbourne, Missouri. Doug is a retired attorney, real estate broker, and movie actor/producer. He graduated from Donnelly Junior College in 1961 and from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri in 1963 with a BA in history and earned a Juris Doctor degree from UMKC Law School in 1970.He practiced law for 15 years and began acting in movies in 1987 in Cross of Fire, a four-hour TV miniseries. Doug was awarded a Best Actor Golden Statue for his role as the grandfather of The Leading Actress in the feature film Normandy is My Name (International Independent Film Festival). Doug has had roles in two dozen plus Hollywood and independent films. He has co-produced several films.Today, he resides and Overland Park, Kansas with his wife of 49 years.
