Die Künstlerin Gabriella Disler entwickelt ihre Werke mit den Medien Fotografie, Installation und Wort. Sie setzt sich auf die Spur nach dem Beiläufigen und Unspektakulären, spürt das Wesenhafte auf. Die Wirklichkeitsausschnitte prägen sich ein und schärfen unsere Augen für die Besonderheit des Nebensächlichen. Es sind immer Räume eines Dazwischen, es sind Blicke auf das Andere oder umgekehrte Blicke. Bilder vermögen magische Momente zu speichern und Ihre Texten oszillieren zwischen innerer und äusserer Wahrnehmung. Ihre Werke sind variabel, meist nur kurzzeitig fixiert; sie unterliegen einem ständigen Prozess des Zitieren, des Wieder einfügen und der Neuanpassung. Das Künstlerbuch gleicht wie ihre Arbeiten einer Zeitreise des Sein, Einlassens und Sehen.

The artist Gabriella Disler develops her works with the media of photography, installation and word. She tracks down the incidental and the unspectacular, traces the essential. With her works she tries to oppose the often loud, fast-moving and intrusive omnipresence of the medium. Most of the time they are spaces of an in-between, they are glimpses of the other or reversed glimpses., simple, intimate moments, which reveal themselves in the presence.
Pictures are able to store magical moments and her texts oscillate between inner and outer perception. Her works are variable, usually set for only a short time; they are in a constant process of quotation, reinsertion and readjustment. Like her works, the artist's book resembles a time journey of being, letting in and seeing.
