Rui Dinis (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree from Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal, Technical University of Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal, in 2001 and the habilitation degree in telecommunications from the Faculdade de Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT), Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Lisbon, Portugal, in 2010. He is Associate Professor with FCT-UNL and Researcher, Instituto de Telecomunicações, Aveiro, Portugal. During 2003, he was Invited Professor with Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada. He is or was Editor with IEEE Open Journal on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications and Elsevier Physical Communication. He was part of the organizing committee of several major IEEE ComSoc and VTS conferences. His main research interests include signal processing techniques for wireless communications, including modulations, MIMO systems, equalization and multi-user detection, channel estimation and synchronization, and positioning techniques.
Prof. Kelum Gamage (B.Sc., Ph.D., PgCAP, CEng, PFHEA, FIET, FRSA, SMIEEE) is Full Professor in the James Watt School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow and Winner of the University of Glasgow Teaching Excellence Individual Award (2020/21). He is Learning and Teaching Enhancement Officer of the College of Science and Engineering and the Co-Director of the Centre for Educational Development and Innovation. He is Co-Founder and Co-Lead of the University of Glasgow Community of Practice for Sustainability in Learning and Teaching. He is Member of the University Academic Standards Committee (ASC) and Member of the University Sustainability Working Group (SWG). Prof. Gamage holds the position of Visiting Professor at Sri Lanka Technological Campus (SLTC). He is Academic Accreditor and Professional Registration Advisor (PRA) of the IET.
