This guide provides equine practitioners with a reference to the management of specific fractures in the horse. For each fracture type there is a literature review and a description of treatment illustrated by case histories followed by results of treatment and prognosis. Although AU/ASIF techniques are used extensively in many of the fractures described, other methods of fixation are included where appropriate. Arthroscopy, growth disturbances and arthrodesis are also included.
