Sharon is readying a hotel room with flowers and music when Brett walks in. It becomes clear that Brett is agitated and talks about cutting off their affair. She offers other options, but he expresses the guilt of maintaining a double life. Just then, Brett's young daughter walks into the room to ask him something after innocently defying his order to "sit in the chair by the elevator." After sending her out, Brett apologizes to Sharon and leaves for good.
