Peruvian food is a triumph of fusion cooking; more than any other cuisine it is a unique blend of the ancient with the modern, bound together by an extraordinary geographical diversity, and fuelled by an abundance of natural ingredients. With gorgeous photography throughout, this is the perfect introduction to the food of Peru. It includes the familiar little pastries, Empanaditas, and street food such as Humitas and Butifarras, but also includes tasty soups that are meals in themselves, comforting corn, potato and bean side dishes, fish in spicy sauces, and tempting sweets and desserts that reflect the Peruvian love of almonds and pastry. With beautiful photographs throughout and clear, step-by-step instructions this recipe book is a must for anyoneinterested in exploring new cuisines and creating delicious food to serve to family and friends.
