What happens when the provider, protector, and priest is gone? What happens when the head of the home does not know his true identity? What are the consequences of a fatherless home? What happens when a dad is no longer a father? Essie Day was born in Abbeville S.C. At the age of eighteen months old, she relocated to Brooklyn, New York with her mother. As a child, she felt incomplete and lost with no real purpose. Growing up, she struggled with the question, "where is my father?" Until one day, at the young age of twenty one, she came into the knowledge of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It was then she knew she had a Heavenly Father all the time. The pain of being a fatherless child compelled her to pick up a pen and write A HOUSE WITHOUT A COVERING.
